Sweating is a natural bodily function that protects the organism from overheating. The human body, however, sweats not only as a reaction to heat and physical stress, but also to hormonal changes, strong emotions or spicy foods.

While the chemical composition of sweat varies between individuals, the basis is always the same. Up to 98 percent of sweat is water, while the rest is made up of minerals, amino acids or urea.
