Late winter is very often the time for cold-related illnesses such as the flu, the common cold or tonsillitis.
Fortunately, there are herbs that can offer relief.
One of those herbs is the silver spurflower (Plectranthus argentatus), which contains pleasant-smelling essential oils in its leaves.
Another is the leopard lily (Iris domestica), which not only heals, but also looks beautiful with its bright-colored flowers similar to those of daylilies. One big advantage of both of these plants is that they’re very easy to grow.
THE SILVER SPURFLOWER
The silver spurflower is a spreading shrub with silvery hairs on the stems and velvety gray ucculent leaves, which omit an aroma similar to eucalyptus, camphor, lemon balm or mint.
