Cannabis A Universal Helper and Medicine

Since the first issue of My Herbs came out in July 2016, we have been introducing you to the healing effects of perhaps the most controversial herb today – cannabis.

In part eight, we discussed harvesting and the correct processing of this herb. This issue will cover the best homemade recipes ranging from balms to tinctures to butters.

CANNABIS MEDICINE CHEST
The most common homemade cannabis products are balms (also called salves or ointments) and tinctures, because the procedure to make them is neither complicated nor time-consuming. There exist many different recipes and methods to mix, improve and flavor cannabis for herbal remedies.

The next installment will examine the use of cannabis extract, which in recent years has gained tremendous popularity the world over. But balms made from plant material are a great place to start.
