Aromatherapy for Summer Days

Some of you may be reading this article on vacation, others perhaps while lounging on the terrace or in a garden full of sweet-smelling herbs. Summer usually symbolizes months of peace and good health.

Unfortunately, some minor health problems may appear even during this time but, as always, we can handle them easily with the help of herbs and herbal aromatherapy.

Many women are troubled by repeated vaginal yeast infections. If you are one of them, try out this recipe: pour 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil into a glass and add the following essential oils: 5 drops of geranium, 10 drops of lavender, 10 drops of manuka, 5 drops of patchouli and 5 drops of cedar wood. Apply the mixture to a tampon and use.

In case of discharge of an unknown cause, the following mixture of essential oils may be used: essential oils – 1 drop of thyme linalool, 1 drop of lavender, 2 drops of juniper (do not use during pregnancy or with high blood pressure) and 1 drop of clary sage (again, not to be used during pregnancy). Mix with 1 tablespoon of salt and prepare a sitz bath.
