A Weakened Immune System? Cornelian Cherries to the Rescue!

The Cornelian cherry is a plant native to Europe, but it doesn’t grow only in the wild; due to its many potential uses, it is also grown in gardens.

There are many breeds that tempt with their sizable, tasty, and healthy fruits.

The Cornus genus contains many different plants at first glance. Besides the Cornelian cherry (Cornus mas), we can also encounter the Japanese cornelian cherry (Cornus officinalis). The Japanese cornelian cherry is rarer. It has healing properties, and its fruits are used in Chinese medicine to treat weak knees and loins.

THEY’RE NOT ALL THE SAME
If someone were to think that this genus is typified only by tiny yellow blooms, which belong to the Cornelian cherry, they would be wrong. There are also cornels which are grown specifically for their various blooms.
