Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Vanilla ice cream is recommended for expectant mothers in the period of morning nausea, which it alleviates. It also calms the nervous system and relieves anxiety and tension.

The first step is making your own vanilla sugar. To make it, you need two vanilla pods. Grind and mix them with half a kilogram / 1 pound of granulated sugar.

Then you will need three egg yolks and 60 grams / 2 ounces of sugar that has been hand-whipped in water steam. After you have done that, blend the yolks and sugar with a manual blender. Add snow from two egg whites and the whipped cream with a couple spoonsfuls of vanilla sugar.

Put the result into the freezer for two hours and then serve. It is a delicious dessert – not only for expectant mothers.
